Benziger of Switzerland, who in our opinion was maybe the only publisher outside of France who could compete with the French holy cards in terms of beauty and elegance. It was done for the Marian shrine at Einsiedeln, Switzerland, one of the great European pilgrimages to Our Lady. Einsiedeln is still popular today, and was especially popular in the 19th Century before Lourdes,
