As I generally gravitate towards awkwardly twisted and imperfect features in the raw pieces of wood it forces me as an artist to remain fluid in my visions and expectations of the finished product

Sunset Island by Shanandoah Kidd craft The line between water's surfaceThis painting represents both the detailed landscape style of work I do in oil as well as the more illustrative street style of many of my smaller pieces. It shows the large painting work of my tree portraits done in oil paint. However, working in acrylic for this painting allowed me to imitate the immediate and quick flow of my work with paint markers. Similarly the colour palette is more bold and thus reflective of my work with spray paint. 30"x24",
